Commercial and General was founded in 2000 as an innovative insurance broker specialising in niche personal lines products.

Since that time we have successfully grown our business to include both B2B and B2C markets.

We are cover holder at Lloyd's and trade both here in the UK and in Europe.

The Team

Bradley Brandon-Cross


Bradley has had a successful career in the insurance industry both in the UK and internationally for more than 25 years. During that time, he has either led or been significantly involved in around 20 completed acquisitions or disposals in the insurance sector and successfully grown small or start-up businesses in the UK, Europe, the United States, Japan and elsewhere. Bradley is an FSA Approved Person and CF1.

Bradley joined Principle Insurance Holdings as CEO in early 2007.
Principle was the first Shariah compliant insurance company authorised by the FSA and offered motor, homeowners and commercial combined insurance products.
Prior to this Bradley co-founded in 2001 the Rubicon Corporation, an insurance outsourcing venture.

Prior to founding Rubicon, Bradley spent 6 years at GE Capital, leading its primary insurance business in Europe and the Far East, first as Managing Director of the non-UK insurance business, operating in some 15 countries across the Continent of Europe and Asia Pacific, Following this, Bradley was Managing Director of the UK insurance business; at the time the UK’s ninth largest insurer and a market leader in specialist property and casualty insurance.

Prior to GE Bradley was one of the principals and head of the European business of Consolidated Insurance Group. Between 1988 and 1992, Bradley was President of Consolidated’s North American business based in Wilmington, Delaware.

Michael Cant


Previously Michael was the M.D of two Lloyd’s Brokers; the founder of three successful Underwriting Agencies and a Director of two RSA companies. He has in excess of 40 years’ experience in the London Insurance Market and strongly believes that new technology and modern solutions should be pursued, whilst retaining the principal of knowing your client in order to provide appropriate insurance solutions.


Michael spends much of his spare time indulging in his love of classic Cars and anything to do with boats.

Charles Coburn

Business Development Director

Charles has 30 years’ experience in the consumer personal lines market, having spent time at insurers, MGA’s, brokers and TPA’s.

Most recently Charles was Personal Lines Director at UK General, and has led a business development focused career with Sterling Insurance Group, Jubilee Managing Agency and Mapfre to name a few. Charles also possesses strong underwriting knowledge so can quickly evaluate new opportunities and engage with insurers at the highest level.

Charles is responsible for identifying new opportunities at Commercial & General and leading all business development across both our schemes broking division and developing and sourcing new products under our successful online brands.

Alejandra Fernández

Digital Marketing

Alejandra graduated from Carlos III University of Madrid, her home city. She moved to London in 2015 to continue her work experience in Communications and Digital Marketing. She started working for Commercial & General since the beginning of 2018.


Alejandra has international experience taking part in different sectors, however, this is her first time working in the insurance industry. She is not only enjoying but also growing in her position as Marketing Executive and making the most of working in a new industry.

Product and IT Champion

An outgoing, adaptable and determined graduate with a pleasant and respectful manner. Hard-working with a strong sense of commitment. Has a creative flair and possesses IT skills, including social media co-ordination. An excellent communicator with clients and colleagues alike. Enjoys working collaboratively in teams and values the perspectives of others. Can also lead small teams and has proven capabilities in planning, organisation and implementation. Delegates, encourages and motivates others to give their best and achieve team goals.

Stephen Marshall 

Executive Business Manager

Steve has been in the professional Indemnity Insurance arena for over 40 years, heading various teams of people before joining Commercial and General setting up the City Office.

Dealing with UK and international clients on a direct and wholesale basis from Small start up firms to large global companies.

His expertise is in all classes of Professional Indemnity including Accountants, Surveyors, Engineers, Architects and Insurance Brokers, in addition to Solicitors Professional Indemnity and Medical Malpractice.

In addition to his experience with facing clients, brokers and underwriters he has in the past been responsible for the running of delegated binding authorities with underwriting authority on behalf of various Lloyd’s Syndicates and Insurance Companies.

He is now developing the Professional Indemnity side of the Commercial and General Business module. 

Millie Pinnick

Customer Experience Executive

Millie previously worked within Customer Support and Administration for a Debt Collection Agency for vulnerable customers, she has four years of experience within the insurance industry and has knowledge of FCA & FOS standards and regulations. Currently, she is our Complaints Handler and tries to ensure all customers have a smooth experience with us. Millie is also our main contact for our Clients and helps implement their requests and answer their queries efficiently.


Libby Seyers

Customer Service Advisor

Libby has recently graduated in Human Rights and Creative Writing and has previously worked in customer facing roles. She is a very social person; which helps her build great relationships with everyone she meets. She is positive and passionate and enjoys fundraising and raising awareness for different organisations and charities. Being approachable and empathetic is something that is important to her, and is why she is our customer service advisor.
